Regional Membership Support Manager (Mobile Marketing Association)
About the MMA
The Mobile Marketing Association is a global trade association representing over 750 members working collaboratively to build the industry. The Association achieves this through concentrating its efforts around the five building blocks of promotion, education, measurement, guidance and protection.
MMA members include agencies, advertisers, hand held device manufacturers, wireless operators and service providers, retailers, software and services providers, as well as any company focused on the potential of marketing via the mobile channel.
The Association is now looking to hire a Marketing Manager to aid the provision of products and service on behalf of its members.
Job Description
The Regional Membership Support Manager will be responsible for a wide range of management, sales, business development and marketing activities aimed at supporting the growth of mobile marketing in the Region and delivering benefits to the members of the Association there. The role reports directly to the Regional Managing Director.
Principal Responsibilities
- Support the continued development of Local Councils in the Region.
- Drive and assist with new member acquisition efforts regionally
- Support the delivery of member benefits in the Region
- Manage and support delivery of regional and national events
- Manage Local Council Committee outputs
- Key account management activities, executing against MMA’s Account Lifecycle Plan by maintaining current records and communication with members.
- Data research, entry and database management relative to MMA membership including reporting
- Represent the Association publicly
Personal Profile
- Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to take own initiative and work independently. 5-7 years experience in marketing or business development roles
- Direct experience of event and project management
- Ability to deliver project goals
- Strong analytical, administrative and organisational skills
- Very good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
- Collaborative style of delivery.
- Demonstrable initiative, enthusiasm and the ability to multi-task
- International experience would be a strong bonus
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Experience in and passion for, the mobile industry would be a distinct advantage
- Competence in Regional languages would be desirable
Skills and Competency Requirements
- 5-7 years experience in marketing or business development roles
- Direct experience of event and project management
- Strong analytical, administrative and organisational skills
- International experience would be a strong bonus
- Receives little instruction on day-to-day work.
- Adept in listening, written and verbal communication.
- Well organized, flexible and enjoys the administrative challenges of working in a small office of diverse people and programs.
- The ability to interact with customers and staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, under pressure,
- Professional qualifications through either Chartered Institute of Marketing, Institute of Direct Marketing (or similar recognised national bodies elsewhere in Region)
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Travel or Other Requirements
- Extended or non-traditional work hours may sometimes be required.
- Some occasional travel may be required.
