Android Ahead of iPhone in Data Usage

Google’s mobile operating system (OS) Android, a relative newcomer on the smartphone scene, has overtaken Apple’s iPhone platform in driving mobile phone traffic in the United States for the first time.

Android phones accounted for 46 per cent of advertisement impressions versus the iPhones 39 per cent for the month of March in one of the iPhone’s biggest markets, according to the latest figures from mobile advertising company AdMob released last month.
