New Zealand seeking Asian aviation opportunities

NEW Zealand wants to forge closer links with Asian players to grow its aviation industry.
‘The industry in New Zealand is growing. We may have been bit players in some markets, but now we want to be more substantive,’ John Nicholson, chief executive of industry association Aviation New Zealand, told The Business Times at the Singapore Airshow yesterday.
Aside from Aviation New Zealand and economic development agency New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, other NZ companies taking part in this year’s airshow include Air New Zealand Airline Training, Air New Zealand Engineering Services, light aircraft manufacturer Pacific Aerospace, satellite communications firm Flightcell International, military aircraft and component MRO provider Safe Air and aircraft tracking system provider Spider Tracks.
