Maurice Isidore appointed to head
Security & Information Systems

Maurice Isidore took up the position of head of DCNS’s Security & Information Systems division on 1 September 2009. The division is in charge of the design, development and production of operational information systems (a generic term covering combat management systems, command information systems, shipboard integrated data networks and the like) for client navies.

Since joining the Group, Maurice’s top priority has been to ensure the success of programmes in hand to develop solutions to naval defence and security needs identified by the French Navy and international customers.

“Customers ask DCNS to develop systems that are increasingly sophisticated and integrated, yet easy to use, or precisely the type of challenge that DCNS teams enjoy,” says Maurice. “I’m pleased to share with my teams the professional and human values that I’ve developed in the course of my successive positions with the Thales group.”

Maurice Isidore spent his career to date with the Thales group. His first position in software and radar development was followed, in 1986, by a management position with the Defence and Battlespace Control Systems division in charge of radar development production and integration. In 1994, he was appointed head of development and programmes with the Air Traffic Management Business Line. From 2004 to 2009, he was vice president of the group’s Avionics and Mission Systems Technical Business Unit where he set up and managed a team of 700 engineers at four centres working on the design, development and integration of sophisticated software for systems marketed by the Aerospace Division.
