DCNS Far East reflects the Group’s long-term commitment in Asia

The DCNS Group, a leading European player in the world market for integrated warships, has announced today the renaming of its Singaporean subsidiary “DCN Services Far East” to “DCNS Far East”.

The name change is part of initiatives geared towards symbolizing the spanning of DCNS Far East’s offer and the strengthening of the company’s long-term commitment in the South East Asia region.

Headed by Eric Lassalle, Managing Director, DCNS Far East will locally support all DCNS’s activities in Singapore and regionally. The group now offers a complete corporate presence where previously the focus was on logistics and services only.

We believe it timely that we broaden our presence and deliver our full range of capabilities, technological expertise and tradition of excellence to face the legitimate expectations of the Republic of Singapore Navy and local industrial partners here,” said Eric Lassalle, Managing Director.

“Since establishing a regional presence out of Singapore since 2005, our focus has always been on logistics and services. Now as DCNS Far East, we have a more agile organization, ready to respond rapidly to the complex and specialized needs of our customers,” he added.

As a long established global leader in the design and implementation of advanced and value-added naval defence systems, these developments offer DCNS the opportunity to further maintain a close and interactive relationship with its customers while facing a fast moving and demanding naval related market in the region.

The establishment of Asia as an economic powerhouse will impact the development of the region’s maritime defence requirements. DCNS is here for the long-term as an accessible, fully-equipped partner as this transformation unfolds.
