On 12/6/09, we celebrated the long overdue official launch of Rice Communications. It was a pleasure to see all of you who were able to make it and to receive messages of support from those of you who were overseas or unable to join us.

As a young consultancy born in the midst of an economic recession, we celebrate with grateful hearts and a commitment to share our blessings. Earlier this month, we approached Beyond Social Services, a Singapore-based organization that works with indigent young people and their families with a promise to donate bags of rice, as part of our efforts to be forever mindful of our less fortunate brethren.

Our pledge to match your donations has shown wonderful results. All of you gave with open hearts and today, we have collected over 500 kg of rice inclusive of the cash donations that came in last week.

All in, we are proud to say we will be able to give over 1,100 kg of rice to Beyond this week, more than double our initial expectations.

Once again, a BIG heartfelt thank you goes out from all of us at Rice. We will also shortly share our communications with Beyond with you, acknowledging the gestures of all of the supporters of this initiative.
